Bordeaux

Interesting city design and architecture. I was told that the Bordeaux architecture was influenced by the British.

China World Hotel - Beijing

Red and golden colors seem to be favored in China which represent wealth and authority.

Gamla Stan (Old Town)

You can see the Swedish tradition at various cute shops.

Leeum Museum

Has a fine art collection from the global artists. A hidden gem where you can see selective Korean antiques as well in Seoul. Built by three famous European architects.

Millennium Park in Chicago

From top to bottom: The bean - originally titled "Cloud". The reflection of people underneath of the bean. The crown fountains which keep changing visuals of different faces. The Frank Gehry-designed Jay Pritzker Pavilion, the sophisticated outdoor concert hall.

Tate Modern - Temporary Eyesore

The top picture was a construction fence created by an artist.
I thought the gentleman sitting the table was an eyesore - funny.
The below picture was a part of wall art exhibition at the Tate Modern in London, in 2008.

"The Art of Travel"

is to get you out of your comfort zone to enrich your life. From top to bottom: traveling to Stockholm, Chicago, waiting at the Newark Airport, and Seoul.

The Sky and the Water

The sky and the water at different places. From top to bottom: Seattle, Southern France, Florida, San Juan Island (the U.S.), and Boston. "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place.....according to Genesis.

Beijing Skyline

Just before the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. The whole country of China looks under the construction for a decade.

Pudong Skyline

All kinds of experimental architectural buildings in Shanghai back in 2005. Each top of the buildings should have a different design by law. The nano-speed of changes in China makes you dizzy.

English Garden

Just a pastoral beauty rather than a formal style.

Figuier - can you smell it?

Came back home after spending the New Year's holidays in the East Coast. Chicago, without fail, welcomed me with the January Tundra temperature; 10 degrees! Good to be back home and what a reinvigorating feeling with the scent of the fig-tree candle from France.

Central Park

A perfect landscape. I was walking around the Park with a colleague. Recalled it was a quite hot summer day in New York.

Blue glassworks

A glasswork studio in Skansen. The crisp sunlight through the blue glassworks overlooking the open window.

Chateau de Linxe

A beautiful memory of my retreat in southern France.
Enjoyed simple food, a choir concert in the village church, a French movie playing at the old fashioned theater, a night market where I met Indios who made a bracelet with my name (no idea how they came that so far), a small adventure with stick driving to springs, and companionship of friends.

I want to see London!

In spite of a long waiting line and a bit of tiredness of the day, I insisted my sister to ride the London Eye to see London from the above. Enjoyed the ride and it was worthy.

Namhae (South Sea)

Last spring I traveled to Namhae, an island located in the extensive Straits of Korea. Captured a few scenic views of Namhae; rice paddies along the coast, unknown wild berries among the rocks, and the sunset over to the sea.
